Darker Sounds presents the Tomb of Talus EP, the label's fourteenth release (DS014). DS has carefully crafted another EP that features six tracks and six producers perfectly representing the bold and polished techno sounds you have come to expect from the label.

Tracks 1-3 are hauntingly simply productions that provide plenty of dark and heavy basslines. Klangtronik's Tomb of Talus is a biting rhythmic tune that is a fitting title track for an EP that aims to guide us through ancient chambers and mysterious caverns. Steve Wilson's Sleep Walking is a minimal and forceful production that transitions us from dream to nightmare. Cubex's The Unborn is poignant with atmospheric sounds, but still retaining his trademark heavy style. These tracks are elegant and mesmerizing examples of techno.

Tracks 4-6 are punctuated by luscious, cascading basslines and emotionally charged elements that punctuate a very distinct, heavy sound. Julian Viegas delights our minds with Kross, a track that overwhelms with its raw, driving power. Paralytic's Drumina is a rolling machine of chaos that shows no mercy with its emphatic pulse. Rounding out the EP is Electrik Pulsion by Tonikattitude, a parade of chilling, unrelenting visions and ground-shattering beats. Beneath it all, there is a slight minimal edge to each of these tracks that let the bass truly shine.

Every track on this intense release envelops you in an arena of jet black sound. It is an EP that delivers exceptional power to the dance floor and is punctuated by nuances that add depth and dimension. The tracks are formed with lifts and descents that make for a sensational ride through darkness, a familiar experience shared across all Darker Sounds releases.
